LIGHT EARTHQUAKE, 4.3 MAG HAS OCCURRED NEAR OVALLE IN CHILE

A light earthquake with magnitude 4.3 (ml/mb) was reported 72 kilometers (45 miles) from Ovalle in Chile on Saturday. A tsunami warning has not been issued (Does not indicate if a tsunami actually did or will exist). 

The epicenter of the earthquake was roughly 18.87 km (12 miles) below the earth’s surface. Exact location of event, longitude -71.8805 West, latitude -30.8757 South, depth = 18.87 km. The temblor was detected at 02:47:49 / 2:47 am (local time epicenter).
Epicenter of the earthquake was 72 km (45 miles) from Ovalle (c. 77 100 pop), 90 km (56 miles) from Monte Patria (c. 13 900 pop).
