5.8R in IRAN-IRAQ BORDER REGION

A powerful 5.8R earthquake has just been reported on the Iran-Iraq Border Region. The location of the epicenteris shown on the map at the top. The earthquake measuring 5.9 magnitude on the Richter scale shook Gilangharb city in Kermanshah province in the west of Iran on Sunday, Iran's Seismological Center reported.
The quake hit at a depth of 25.1 km at around 1342 GMT. Witnesses said the tremor was felt as far as Iraq's capital, Baghdad.
There are no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
