5.8R in S Xinjiang, China

A strong 5.8R earthquake in S. Xinjiang in China was reported this afternoon. The epicenter is shown in the map above. The two maps show there were quite populated people on the outskirts. A lot of people got frightened. Below is the calendar for January 2020 for China, and we can see behaviors as shown spiral way and pops up on 19th January.
Below we also see the stresses of the region where ae see it close to the epicenter, [39.7N, 77.09E], while the stress dot close to the epicenter of [39.N 78E]. Not too bad.

Shaking was felt in the cities of Kashgar and Artux.

This is the third felt earthquake in Southern Xinjiang, China in the last 47 hours.
The Xinjiang region has a population of abour 22million people.
Some residents took to social media to share their fears over the tremors.
One person posted on Twitter:  "Every hour the ground is shaking and we are not confident to go to sleep because."
Another added: "Did anyone else feel the earthquake?"
Earthquakes occur frequently in Xinjiang, which borders central Asia.
China is located in a seismically active zone and regularly suffers from powerful earthquakes.
Sichuan province was hit by an 8.0-magnitude earthquake on 12 March 2008 that killed around 70,000 people.
The world’s deadliest earthquake hit the central and eastern parts of China in 1556, leaving about 830,000 people dead.​
