6.8R offshore O Higgins, Chile


A 6.8R earthquake was reported this afternoon offshore Chile at the location shown in the above map. Just below is our global calendar showningclearly a peak today. So it was expected globaly. 
As far as Chile is concerned, it is best to look at the last day of July where we see below a fair peak covering today too.
A strong earthquake has hit off the coast of central Chile, though there are no immediate reports of damage or injury.The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 6.8 quake struck at 2:28 p.m. local time (19:28 GMT) Thursday and was centered 59 miles northwest of San Antonio, Chile, in the region of Valparaiso
