The Largest Solar Spot of the Year!

One of the largest sunspots of the year, newly assigned region 2585 is now turning into view off the east limb. Although not overly potent, the cluster of sunspots will be a threat for C-Class flares and perhaps an isolated M-Flare. We will get a better understanding of the region during the next few days.
